Felt has been used both rug, runners, prayer rugs, pillows, saddlecloths (blanket), tent cloths
(ticking) as furnishing and shepherd’s felt cloak, boots, vest, socks, booties as clothing.
Although the usage area has decreased with the technological developments in recent years,
many kinds of felts are produced in the textile and design areas as souvenir for tourists. It has
been tried to create different figures on the artificial and natural felt by using the needling
technique, using wool fiber and yarn in the study. The patterns were created before the
application of the needling technique with photoshop program on the computer and
transferred on felt by transfer printing technique. After, they were processed manually using
wool fibers and yarn felting needle. As a result of the production, it was found that the
needling technique on transfer printing was more suitable than the unprinted techniques for
pattern formations. In addition, when the twisted thread is used in the needling technique, it
has been observed that the thin lines of the pattern have been worked flawlessly. The products
obtained in the study have been used both a table on different themes and for designs such as
bags and pillows
