Özet

The behavior of multiple anchor plates embedded in sandy soil has been investigated numerically. Numerical analyses were performed by a series of three-dimensional non-linear finite element analysis by using Plaxis. The effects of the parameters like the horizontal spacing between anchors, the embedment ratio of the anchors, the relative density of sand, and the configuration of anchor plates have been investigated. The results were presented in terms of uplift capacity for one anchor plate and the value of group efficiency for multiple anchor plates. It was clearly noted that the value of group efficiency was approximately 100% with an increase in spacing between the anchors. Based on the FE analysis, it can be concluded that the relative density of sand and the embedment ratio of anchor plates are main parameters affect the uplift capacity of anchor plates. © ASCE 2015.
