dc.description.abstractThe geographic distribution of 120 species/subspecies representing 35 genera of the carabid subfamily Harpalinae (Coleoptera: Carabidae) in Turkey was determined by examining and cataloging specimens collected in various areas of the country. Some of these species/subspecies are new records of distribution in several Turkish provinces. Calathus (Neocalathus) leptodactylus Putzeys, 1873 and Pterostichus (Argutor) leonisi Apfelbeck, 1904 are recorded for the first time as occurring in Turkey. Previously published records from Turkey, geographical distribution and chorotype information are provided for each species.
