In this study, Hydrochloric (HCI) acid resistance of Ground Pumice Powder (GPP) mortars was investigated. In the preparation of the mortar mixtures, CEMI-42.5/R Portland Cement was used as the binder, and crushed sand with 0-4 mm grain size was used as the aggregate. Mortar samples were produced by substituting GPP as a mineral additive with cement at the rates of 0%, 10%, 20% and 30% by weight. In the investigation of the acid effect, 5% by volume of concentrated HCl acid was used. flow-table test was applied to fresh mortar samples. Mortar samples were kept in the standard curing pool for 7, 28 and 90 days and unit volume weight, water absorption and porosity ratios of the samples that completed their 28th and 90th days were determined. flexure and compression tests were performed on the samples that completed their 7th, 28th and 90th days. The samples, which were kept in the standard curing pool for 28 days, were then subjected to flexure and compression tests at the end of 7, 28 and 90 days in HCl acid curing. In HCl acid, unit volume weight, water absorption and porosity ratios of the samples that completed their 28th and 90th days were determined. As a result, it was observed that the flow-table value, unit weight, flexural and compressive strength decreased, water absorption and porosity ratios increased with the increase of the GPP substitution ratio compared to the reference sample. While the compressive strengths of the samples in the HCl acid solution during the 7-day waiting period increased with the increase in the GPP replacement ratio, a decrease occurred in the 28th and 90-day waiting times.
